Network and do it. Don’t be shy or nervous to reach out to someone!

How have you benefited from using the Career Center?

The Career Center has helped me immensely! I’ve been able to craft a resume and a cover letter, get help with interview coaching, and receive guidance about my internship hunt.

How did working with the Career Center impact your internship/job search?

I was able to identify companies I wanted to work with and utilize resources I wouldn’t have thought of. Plus, the Career Center has helped me network and reach out to people who work within those specific companies and industries.

What was the most helpful advice given to you by the Career Center?

Network and do it. Don’t be shy or nervous to reach out to someone!

What challenges were you facing and how did the Career Center help you solve them or motivate you to solve them?

I’ve been having a really hard time finding internships, and my Career Consultant Jill helped me research places I could potentially work, and she connected me with industry contacts she knows. Jill helped me get accepted into Roxo Agency, and apply for leadership positions, and next year I will actually be agency President!

What advice would you give other TCU students facing the same challenges you did?

GO TO THE CAREER CENTER!

Were there any specific events you went to that were beneficial? If so which one and why was it helpful?

I think it’s great when Jill comes to classes to present, it’s super helpful!!
