CAREER FAIRS AND EXPOS

TCU students are encouraged to prepare for career fairs so that the pool of candidates coming by your booth are serious job seekers and specifically interested in your organization. The Career Center provides a great deal of marketing surrounding the Fall and Spring Expos establishing your company as a TCU supporter. The Fall Expo, with almost 900 students in attendance, ushers in a season of on-campus interviews, workshops, information sessions, and job postings. In the Spring, companies wishing to finalize internship positions and attract upcoming graduates will recruit candidates, conduct interviews, and complete their hiring goals for the year.

If you are interested in associating your organization with a certain set of majors, then a college career fair allows you access to a target student population and faculty group. For some great tips on how to maximize your presence at career fairs check out this article on LinkedIn

NETWORKING EVENTS

In an effort to bring together recruiters within a specific industry or major targets, Networking Events were established. There is no charge to register, but the results are priceless. Each company is given the opportunity to introduce themselves and their specific hiring needs. Students then seek out recruiters to discuss their potential and present resumes.

WORKSHOPS

The Employer Development Team creates events and workshops aimed at educating students and providing career development. A panel with diverse viewpoints is assembled and topics discussed with a moderator. Afterwards, students are given the opportunity for Q&A as well as time to network with employers. Being a panel member promotes your organization as an “expert” and further demonstrates a commitment to the university and student education.

There are a very limited number of employer spots for our panel workshops. If you are interested in participating, please email or call 817-257-4141.
